Colleges, Students, Webspace, Blogging - Future of
Teaching-Learning
Colleges world over are asking their students to blog for a
variety of purposes. Studies have been carried out to analyze
the best ways to engage students in blogging.
Most colleges have a website of their own. They can have blogs
of students attached to their websites.
Here is a simple plan based on the course contents:
The students can be divided into groups with one student
in-charge of one module. Each student takes up a specific topic
and creates a blog on it. All blogs are tagged with the college
name, the course name, the module name, the topic and other
related keywords.
The students can also be asked to work on one more blog as
per their interests and hobbies. This way each student is
engaged in two blogs one based on subject specialization
another based on his personal interests and preferences.
These blogs are passed on to the next year students for
enhancements, updating and further content development.
